The previous captain of the Lewis and Clark, who had guided the ship on its journey to Jupiter. In acknowledgment of his skill, he was recently given the prestigious position of commander for the First Space Battle Cruiser Squadron. He selected the USS Atlanta to be his flagship, a symbol of his power and authority. As he commands the three oversized cruisers, Atlanta, Houston, and Albuquerque, his mission is clear: protect the colonies on Jupiter and their exclusive mining areas at the libration points. USS Atlanta and USS Houston were nearing the end of their upgrades and were eagerly anticipating their trails and the start of their trailblazing expeditions. The USS Albuquerque was next into the docks. The NEW USA promptly requested a fourth, fifth and six to be built, USS Denver, USS New Orleans, USS San Antonio and USS Dallas. USS Albuquerque will join the First Space Battle Cruiser Squadron after its trails in 7 months. The Expectation is the USS Denver, USS New Orleans, USS San Antonio, and USS Dallas form the Second Battle Cruiser Squadron in 36 months. The Second Squadron will be assigned to Saturn.
Four Squadrons of Frigates will be built for each Jupiter and Saturn. The plan is for them to patrol asteroid mining areas. Greek, Trojan and the Carthaginian camps plus one station at Jupiter itself. Each squadron has a mother ship capable of dashing them to any location and supporting their operations.
