Ralph eagerly sought him out, knowing that he could provide valuable guidance on engine room routines. Following an accident that resulted in the loss of crucial personnel, the oxygen levels in multiple compartments fell below safety thresholds. The 2nd engineer accused him of careless disregard for his duties. Sadly, on the Lewis and Clark exploration ship at Saturn, he ended his own life.
