Jirou was an agent of the Oniwaban recruited to spy on the New USA. He speaks English, Korean, and Japanese. His family has deep cultural roots in Korea. Note: The emperor resurrected the Oniwaban to carry out espionage both inside and outside Japan. Lady Sakura wanted this agency to reestablish this old agency to report directly to the Emperor to bypass the Cabinet Intelligence and Research Office (also known as Naichō), which reports to the Prime Minister. She was determined to find evidence that would support her argument to replace Naichō with the Oniwaban, who she believed would be a better alternative. A typical Oniwaban is a highly trained elite agent that has a small group of onmitsu that support them.
