With several years of experience under his belt, Jim Gladstone assumed command of the Lewis and Clark during its expedition to Saturn. The court of inquiry focused its attention on him as the primary suspect in the investigation of the many deaths during the mission. There was a suspicion that his office assignments were influenced by his prejudice. On the ships, there was a lack of enforcement against drug usage among the crew. Even though they were not held responsible, the suspensions were never completely disproven. He embarked on an Earth Assignment, only to meet his demise during the outbreak of Grey Death on Earth.
