As the executive officer, he was assigned to serve on the Imperial Japanese Space Cruiser Atagi, immersing himself in the space operations. There, he met Haru Nakamori, a skilled navigator who guided the ship with precision. Haru asked him to engage in English conversation to improve his language proficiency.
